“Marie designed Decathlon’s first catalogue for schools in the UK which has been sent to 14,000 schools in all of the United Kingdom.

I really enjoyed working with Marie. It was a pleasure to collaborate with someone extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

The design of the brochure is amazing, and several Decathlon stores in other countries have started to use the same design for their catalogues.”

NHS Annual Report

120 Pages – Print & Interactive PDF

The NHS Barking & Dagenham Primary Care Trust, in partnership with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, commissioned me at short notice to design and oversee print production for a substantial annual report. The 120-page document featured complex content, including numerous tables and infographics, a text-linked glossary and an extensive system of footnotes.

Following a setback with a previous designer, they were faced with a tight timeline. I delivered the print files and hyperlinked PDF within one week, ensuring all requirements were met to a high standard.

The brief specified a restrained use of photos, with the cover imagery reflecting diversity. The final design balanced accessibility and visual cohesion, and was met with great satisfaction by all stakeholders.

ICSA: The Governance Institute

Bellwether Report and Infographics

The FT–ICSA Boardroom Bellwether is a twice-yearly business sentiment report surveying FTSE 350 company secretaries to explore how UK boards respond to economic conditions and corporate governance issues. Produced in partnership with the Financial Times and The Governance Institute, the publication translates complex data into accessible insights.

I designed eight editions, with a strong focus on infographic design – transforming the survey data into engaging visual storytelling. Each edition combined editorial layout with bespoke charts and diagrams to communicate trends and key findings at a glance. The infographics were also adapted for websites and social media, with careful attention to accessibility and cross-platform consistency across print, PDF and digital formats.

TEN Magazine – Decathlon UK

16 Pages – Print & PDF

Decathlon commissioned me to design TEN, a quarterly, customer-facing magazine distributed across UK stores, with around 40,000 printed copies as well as an eMagazine version.

I developed the original magazine template in Adobe InDesign and produced each edition under tight turnaround times, working closely with the communications team to translate varied content into a clear and engaging layout.

Each issue required a flexible but consistent design approach aligned with Decathlon’s branding, accommodating product features, editorial content and brand messaging across formats.

Tourettes Action – Fundraising Brochure

16 Pages – Print & Interactive PDF

Tourettes Action asked me to redesign their fundraising brochure, updating an outdated publication while working within their existing brand guidelines. The brief was to refresh the look and feel, making the content more engaging and accessible without losing brand recognition.

I developed a playful, modern layout with improved flow, helping guide readers through key messaging and calls to action.

The final artwork was set up in InDesign for both print and interactive PDF. The result was a more contemporary, user-friendly brochure that better supports the organisation’s fundraising efforts.

Looking for America

By Chris Glennie – Print & ePub Book

Chris Glennie commissioned me to design the print and ePub editions of Looking for America, a 366-page travel journal exploring personal journeys through US history. The project required careful typographic planning to ensure a consistent layout across both hardcover print and digital formats, with seamless navigation in the ePub version.

I developed a clean design that balanced long-form text with supporting illustrations, adapting the layout for Kindle compatibility while preserving the integrity of the print edition. All illustrations were supplied as greyscale scans. I colourised the cover to bring it to life. The final result is a book that works just as well in print as it does on screen – built to last beyond the first skim.

Decathlon UK

Design Guidelines

I created a 200-page design guideline document for use across all Decathlon UK stores, produced for print and as an interactive PDF. Starting from scratch, the project involved reviewing a wide range of existing templates – from ads and digital assets to in-store displays – and bringing them together into a clear, consistent system.

Working with a newly established in-house design team, I standardised templates, defining everything from logo usage, colour palettes, typography, photography and graphic elements as well as detailed application of these elements within stores and marketing material.

The final guidelines provide a practical reference for maintaining brand consistency across all channels and in all stores.

Children’s Therapist Website

For Helenore, I designed a responsive website showcasing a broad range of children’s therapy services. I created wireframes to map the user flow and developed mock-ups in Adobe XD before building the site in WordPress Elementor.

Working from an existing logo and colour palette, I expanded the branding to create a more distinctive visual identity. I introduced playful elements to reflect the child-focused nature of the service while maintaining a calm and professional feel. The final result is a friendly, accessible website that supports both the therapist’s core work and wider offering.
